INDIA

We made it!!! We arrived to our first destination last night here in India. It's currently 9am and man oh man am I tired. I'm awake and I have a lot of energy but my eyes are so tired. Anyways, thank you for keeping our team in your prayers. We had a few complications throughout the whole flying from the USA to India, but God is so faithful to His promises. Some have heard about the Micky situation. If you haven't, one of our team members wasn't able to fly with us 'cause of his last name being different than his legal name. With Perseverance and determination, we connected with our travel agent and we got Micky on the plane the next day. With that bring said, he's flying alone and will be arriving alone. Once he gets to India, we'll meet him here. It's so cool how God promised us 15 and even though this came up, I really felt like he wanted us to trust in Him and His promises. He's a great Daddy who will never fail us. It's so amazing to witness what He's doing. So keep Micky in prayer as he's flying alone. Thank you!
Pray that the whole jet leg feeling won't kick in. Supernatural adjustment. YEAH GOD!!!!
I love you guys!!! We have two more flights to catch before our final desitnation. Anyways, I can't wait to see what God has in store for us today. :)

Today is the DAY

YAY! TODAY IS THE DAY!!! I've been waiting for this day for a long time. I've been working long hours and getting a lot of work done before leaving. THANK YOU to everyone one who donated towards my trip! Everything is fully covered, Hallelujah! May God continue to bless you guys as much as He has blessed me.

So once again, thank you for your continued interested in my life. You could be doing anything right now but you're reading this and that means a lot. So... I leave to India with my AMAZING team today and we'll be back March 30th, just in time for Easter Sunday. As we're getting ready to depart Minnesota in a few hours, please keep us ALL in your prayers. There's 15 of us going so you know how that looks like at the airport especially when you're going through customs etc.

The past few weeks have been c-r-a-z-y! I was getting overwhelmed by the most littlest situations, everything I needed to get done was not getting done and then I misplaced my work key. Everything was going down hill. Little did I know, all I had to do was "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7. The bible is really the book of life. When you're lost and confused, frustrated and or consumed by joy it's all in the book on how to deal with it. After telling my Doctor that I lost my work key, you could tell he wasn't happy but he played it off like it's okay. the next few days I kept him posted on how I wasn't able to find it. At this time, I've already lost hope. My Doctor kept telling me that he was confident about me finding me key. He gave me a week to look for them. My oh my... I didn't care anymore cause I knew I lost them. I wanted to take the easy way out and have him replace everything and I'll just pay for it. But no, he gave me a week to look for them. That week led up to me departing to India. Little did I know... time was ticking and I had to approach my doctor with the updated news. Did I find the Key? HECK YEAH I DID! It was in my purse all along. crazy! I knew God was telling me to not give up so easily. AHHHHH did I rejoice like crazy!!!

Anyways, I just wanted to share with you about what happened this week. God is so faithful! I'll try to keep writing blogs as I'm in India. I love you all.

Mission: India

Hey, Hey, Hey!!! As many of you may or may not know, late October of last year, God open a door for me to go to India from March 21st to March 31st of this year (2013). I will be going with Young Adult Koinonia (Y.A.K), a mission organization that I have been involved with for the past 3 years. They organize mission trips, young adult gatherings and operate a mission base in the inner city. For the past two years YAK has felt a call to take young people to the nations. Two years ago I was apart of the team that went to Mexico with them and that trip blew my mind away. I love seeing what God is doing around the world and I love being apart of it. The mission trip to Mexico two years ago marked something in me. Since then, I love going where God is calling me to go. I am beyond ecstatic as to what God is doing around the world and blessed to be partnering with Him and 14 other amazing men and women of God.

We are working with a young adult leader name Pastor Paul. Pastor Paul's father is the bishop of a network of churches in the state of Andhra Pradesh on the south east coast of India. Vijayawada is the second-largest city in Andhra Pradesh with a population of over 1 million. I need you to partner with us! I need your help, prayer and support to enable us to complete this mission.

We are raising a team of about 80 people to pray during this trip and participate in our preparations. Here is how you can help:

-Join us in our mission conference on February 7-9th at Redeeming Love Church.
-Help us with out mission Inidia Banquet on March 9th at Redeeming Love Church.
-Each team member needs to raise $2500 to cover the cost of the mission trip.
-Join the prayer team.

To participate financially you can give me a gift by cash, check or with a credit card. Please make checks out to YAK (Young Adult Koinonia.) Young Adult Koinonia is a 501-C3 tax exempt organization. You can request a credit card form from me or go online to www.godtown.org and click on the donate button. Be sure to write my name in the note section on the online payment form or include a note with your check with my name on it. You can give payment to me or mail checks to the address below. If you need a tax deductible receipt, please inform us of where you would like it to be sent.

Thank you for taking your time to read this, it means a lot. If you have any questions you can contact me by phone at 612.802.4191 (preferably by text) or email me at douache.v@gmail.com. You're awesome.

Blessings,

I'm Back

Man, I haven't written a blog in such a long time. I must have to say, I'm slacking so bad right now. There are times when I think to myself how I should write my blog and when I do, I get no where. In fact, I have like 3 rough drafts that were never finished. I don't know why writing blogs are so hard for me. I guess I'm always making it harder than it really is. Anyways, WELCOME to 2013 Ya'lls.
How exciting is that, 2012 is over and we're onto the new year. I must have to say, 2012 was a great year but it went by really fast. I'm still in awe of what the Lord did in my life in 2012. I seriously can't phantom how great God is. Honestly, none of the things I've experienced could have happened without his grace upon my life and His strength. My Father is so good and so faith full and He never fails. With God, ALL things are possible for He makes the impossible the possible- That I can testify.

A lot has been happening since the last time I wrote.
I have a team of 15 people heading to India in March. We all have been preparing for this. So yeah, we've been contacting with Pastor Krupanandam Paul and Changdu Lucky with all the India preparation and it's been going pretty good. The picture below is a photo of the team praying with Pastor Krupanandam Paul who lives in India. I'll Update later!

Update

Here's a quick update of what's been happening in my life.

It's been a while since I wrote here but I really need to share a few things that the Lord is doing.

First off, I got a new job. I've been working full time at a Eye clinic since the end of August. I've been looking for a new job since May. So I do understand that it is hard finding a job, but it also takes time as well. I've been at my group home job for a good 5 years (college job) and I needed something new. Well, God blessed me with a new job. I couldn't be more happier. Of course I had to start all over again, I was the "new" staff. I hate being the newbie, but I have to learn some way, some how. The first month or so, I was so stressed out; stressed to the point where I was having back pains and I losing weight etc. I encountered my first rude customer who almost made me cry. I wanted to go home and cry myself to sleep because I was so stressed. I almost wanted to quit. Well, through out time and by talking to a few friends who helped encouraged me, I was able to pick myself back up. I learned how to separate my emotional feelings away from my work feelings. That was probably the biggest thing I dealt with. Once I learned what my true position was... everything started to fall into place. God started to burn this desire in me to want to learn more about my position. That starts by humbling myself down and asking questions. Yeah, I'm bound to make mistakes but I told the ladies that they need to confront me about every mistake I make so I can learn from them. It's been so good. I can actually see myself growing. All my coworkers are so sweet and patient with me. The doctor I work with has to be one of the best doctors out there, teaching-wise as well. He's always willing to teach me something new no matter how busy he is. He's always challenging me to grow and that right there.... was what I was looking for. Challenge. I love my job. I am so blessed to be where I am right now.

I know I've been proclaiming India for the past months now. I can finally say that I've been presented the opportunity to go to India in March. I don't know much about the details, all I know is that I want to go. Keep me in prayers as I approach my Doctor about this. I'm super nervous just because it's more than a week that I have to request off. BUT I do know that if it's the Lords will, He will make a way. So keep me in prayers. :)

This Friday I will be giving my testimony about my previous mission trip to Mexico at Redeeming Love Church. From the sound of it, this banquet is for those who are interested in knowing what Esperenza Viva is all about. It's to also help support the next missionaries that are headed that way in November.

Here is a fun fact. I love to journal. I probably have about 7-9 journals about my life. It started back when I got my first diary in 2nd grade. Since then... I've been journaling. Just this past week I've been having this urge to write about my life and about some of the people I have encountered. This sounds kind of weird but cool. It never really hit me until I started talking to a few of my buddies; Alyssa and Ranya. In reality, I'm living in the generation where God is moving and I get to be apart of it. I've seen so many people changed and they are the kind of people that Authors write about. The amazing part about it, it's happening right in front of my eyes. So with that being said.... I think I'm gonna start writing.

The One Rally is slowly approaching. Save the date: October 26, 2012. Keep this event in your prayers.

This past weekend I received a message from a friend in Two Harbors. She told me how her youth group at her church is slowly starting a bible study at their high school. She mentioned how the last time we were up there, there was a seed planted. Now... they are inviting our team back. This time, to help encourage the youth group and share some testimonies about what God is doing at the high schools in the twin cities. It looks like we may be headed back to Two Harbors sometime in November for a Kingdom Generation Rally. Keep us in prayer as we move forward with this event.

Last but not least... Check out the photo above this text. Who is this lovely, beautiful, young lady beside me? Meet my friend Yareli Galvan Lopez. I Met Yareli back on my first Mexico Mission trip in 2010. This was our last night in Mexico before we had to leave home. That night, we hosted a rally down by the main court yard. We had hundreds of people show up; some participated and others watched from a far. Yareli was one of the girls who sat and participated with the event. As everyone was praying for people, I felt like I should pray for Yareli. With the little spanish I knew, I wasn't able to talk to her. I grabbed a translator and that was the start of everything. So we started talking... I found out that she had this illness. This illness that would randomly cause her to bleed from her nose and when she would bleed, she bleeds! The translator was explaining how she would lose so much blood because it doesn't stop. It stops whenever it wants to. So Yareli and I started praying for this, knowing that our Father in heaven doesn't want her to deal with this. So we broke every chain and Yareli re-deicated her life back to Christ. That night was the last night I saw her because we had to leave town. I was a bit bummed out because I wanted a follow-up. I had faith while I was praying but right when I walked away, I realized I didn't. I was concern about the "what if's"... Good news, today I got a message from Yareli. She basically confirmed about the night we prayed together. She confirmed that since our prayer 2 years ago, she's been healed. PRAISE THE LORD.
Just a few weeks ago, I was listening to someone preach about walking by faith. It's not us doing the works, we're just the vessel God is using. If we're willing to be used, He will use us. All Glory to Him.

Expressing what's on my mind

For the past month or so now, I've been having the itch to just write but when I write... I get a brain fart. So without thinking about what I should write, I'm just going to write. Once again, please excuse all the grammars. BEAR with me.

So I'm just sitting in my room writing this blog and reflecting about the past few months. I'm so amaze at what the Lord has done and let me witness. This has def. been a season of transition for me. The beginning of this year, the Lord opened new doors for me and I took that leap of faith to go down to El Salvador. I came home in April and by May I was already working on our next big conference with Sean Smith (Kingdom Generation Conference). In June, my sister and I were presented with the opportunity to lead a group of girls from Redeeming Love church down to Mexico in July. August rolled around and I stepped down as a Assistant Supervisor at ACR. At the Same time God blessed me with a new job with new challenges. He also paved a way for me to go to Youth Camp to be a leader.
It's September and I can't express how blessed I am right now. I'm currently working full time (40 hrs a week) as a Medical Receptionist at an Eye Clinic. I'm so thankful that the CEO who hired me was willing to give me the opportunity to learn something I've never learned before. Honestly, I now KNOW how hard it is to find a job. All I gotta say is, MY God has a plan for me. A plan in His perfect timing, not mines. Waiting this long has been the best thing ever.
Most people don't know that I took a year off after school to do Ministry and seek the Lord. I must have to say, that was the best thing I could have ever done. Looking back now, I could have NEVER done what I have accomplished without setting everything aside and seeking Him FIRST.
Now that I'm blessed with a steady job and a great income, I can bless others. Something I've been wanting to do in a very long time.

It's amazing to witness what the Lord is doing in my life and in others. It was such a blessing to watch all the high school graduates go off to college. My sister is in California for school. One of my friend is getting ready to go to the Air Force. Another friend is blessed with a new home, work promotion, etc... God is doing great things. I'm so happy to witness it all.

What's next in my life? I've taking on a new project called One Rally. I'm taking on the lead Admin. role for this project. Making sure everything falls into place. One Rally is a gathering that will happen on October 26th at the Minneapolis Convention Center. It's to gather the people in the community, other ministries out in the community to come together and PRAY. Come together in one accord. It's gonna be great!!!! Have any questions, please ask!

I got the Job

August 20, 2012

I got the JOB!!!! Earlier I mentioned how I had an interview at 12:30pm this afternoon. It was my second interview for the same job I applied for earlier this month. Lets rewind a little- The first week in August, on a Wednesday, I had an interview which went well. We all laughed and it seemed like we enjoyed ourselves. I seriously thought I had the job. That Friday, I didn't hear anything from them. I assumed that maybe that following week they'll confirm if I got the job or not. I called probably 2-3 times that week and no answer. I was losing hope. The third week I went to camp. By then, I knew for a fact that I didn't get the job, so I stopped thinking about it. 4th week in August (today) I got a call from the clinic. The interviewer wanted to meet with me again, but for a second interview. How amazing is that?! "Expect the unexpected", was all I can think of.
As I walked in for second interview, everyone greeted me. I didn't have to wait to long until I had my interview with the interviewer and the doctor. Before arriving, I was already proclaiming this Job. I knew I had the job from the beginning. Well anyways, I sat down in front of the doctor and he started asking me, again, if had any questions about their company. Of course I didn't, I wasn't expecting to  be asked that the second time. I mean, I should have asked one question to be on the safe side but I didn't. All in all, the doctor mentioned how he was ready to have me on board. He liked me from the beginning and asked if I could start training asap. With that being said, I start my new job tomorrow.
